I can not however comment on the waterproofness of this because we haven’t had an issue since I bought this only about a week ago. I will send an update in the future on that. Otherwise, wonderful product and fits nicely. I have it over the fitted allergy barrier and under the fittec sheet.

The Naturepedic crib pad is very heavy duty and well made. I’ve had it for four months and it washes nicely. It fits the crib mattress snuggly, but not so a lot that it is a struggle to get on. It’s pricey, but the durability and fact that it’s free from harmful toxins, makes it worth it to me.

I didn’t get the fuzz or the odor with this because the other user did. I’m interested to see how it is waterproof because it is not lined with anything waterproof, but then I like that as an organic item. The mattress already has its plastic cover, I do not require yet much more plastic! It is waiting for baby to arrive so it’s not tested but so far I’m pleased with it as a cover for the mattress. It is well constructed.
